I guess I can say that I’m a rather social person. I like having people around me and sharing my thoughts with others (and hearing other people thoughts as well, of course). I haven’t experienced it, but I think living alone sounds far too lonely for my taste. Nevertheless, from time to time some alone time is just what I need. Here’s all the ingredients for a perfect evening:
Outfit: One of the great things about being alone is, you can guess, nobody can see you! So, put on your chunky socks and sweat pants or whatever else you feel most comfortable in.
Food: There are two options here – either you really treat yourself (cake, pizza, crisps, pasta, chocolate…) or you go the healthy way and create a yummy plate with fresh vegetables and fruit, maybe some crackers. Both really tasty. Your choice.
Activities: For a great evening on your own, you also need some fun activities. Rule number one: Don’t turn on the computer. You’ll just end up wasting your time on the internet, or working. Other than that, there’s so much fun to be had: You can watch a really cheesy (highschool) movie and don’t have to feel bad about it, you can give a breathtaking concert and sing all your favourite songs at the top of your voice (naturally with your brush as a microphone – always classy). You can start a new book (or re-read your favourite one), or pour yourself a glass of wine and finally try this project you’ve always wanted to. Beauty sessions are also a great idea (new manicure anyone?). And if you are feeling lonely after all, phone your friends and start an impromptu slumber party. You see, the fun is endless.
Have fun! What are your favourite alone time activities?

This is exactly what I need. The weekend can’t get here soon enough!

Gosh I should follow the “no internet” rule more often, I’d probably get a lot more done! My favorite alone activities are napping (does that count?), listening to records, petting my cat, and I guess whatever else a 70 year old might like to do? Hah! x

I am very social too – anytime i have a down night and think I am going to just hang out alone, I either end up inviting people over or spend the time catching up on phone calls to family!
