And another month is almost over, can you believe it? I know I’m repeating myself, but 2012 is halfway done now! In the blink of an eye we’ll probably sit here and start preparing everything for Christmas, don’t you think? Some things I’ve been up to lately:
Reading: Last week I devored Restless by William Boyd, it was such a good book. Normally I’m not into spy novels (at all), but I couldn’t put this one down, it was so great and well-written. As soon as I finished it I bought another novel by Boyd, Ordinary Thunderstorms, which I’m reading right now and which is also really nice. I’ve also put two more of his books on my wishlist, you should definitely check him out, too!
Listening: To lots and lots of different 8tracks-Mixes. Now that I have finally gotten into it I’m a bit obsessed! I’ll share some favourites soon.
Watching: A few weeks ago, I saw Moonrise Kingdom at the cinema and I can really recommend it. I know everybody loves Wes Anderson movies and this one is definitely no exception. I’ve also seen A Single Man by Tom Ford and whatever you might think of the story, it’s a beautiful film. Every detail is styled perfectly so it simply is a delight for the eye.
Making: This week I intend to dust of my sewing machine again and make myself a pencil case and maybe a laptop case as well. I already know what I want it to look like (I’ve still got tons of this fabric), now I only have to make it a reality.
I know my life sounds a little dull at the moment, but I am just relaxing and enjoying the little things, which often is all you need. What are you all up to?
