Hi everybody! Long time no see! You might wonder why I haven’t been posting for such a long time, the reason is: I started a new blog! One I am really excited about (as you can see by the number of exclamation marks I am using). If you want to know what it’s all about (I hope you do), head on over here.

Well, at the moment there isn’t really happening much on this blog, but I’m working hard on my other ‘new’ blog (can’t wait to share!). Here’s what I’ve been up to anyway:

reading: ‘The Silent Garden’. I’m not really sure if it is a children’s book or not, but I really like it. It’s a beautiful story.

watching: Last week I finally watched ‘The Graduate’. You should definitely watch it if you haven’t already!

starting: To get back into exercising regularly. This week I started jogging again (it is so hard), after the long winter months it’s so great to be outside again!

waiting: For Spring! I don’t remember another year when I dreaded winter this much! I only have flowers and warmer temperatures on my mind, the cold makes me sick.

anticipating: Next week I’m starting an internship working in PR. I’m so nervous because I think that is exactly what I want to do with my life (I hope!). Also, I am putting together my timetable for next semester at the moment and I am trying to learn Swedish. So much fun!

loving: That my room I have in my new flat is finally coming together. Now I only need some pictures and paintings for the big white wall over my bed and some fresh flowers and it’s finished! Do you know any Etsy shops that sell prints that you can recommend?

Hey there guys! I know 2013 is (already) nearly a week old, but nevertheless I want to wish you all a happy New Year! I hope you can fulfill all your dreams and wishes and you make tons of great memories. My resolutions for the New Year haven’t changed much from last year (continue learning French, learn to draw and play the guitar, eat healthy etc), what about you?

I also want to give you a little update on the future of this blog. You may have noticed that my posting has been very, well, sporadic, in the last few months. That’s partly because of time problems, but partly also because I just didn’t have the motivation to blog, because I didn’t know where this blog was heading and because I had the feeling I was always posting the same thing again and again.

Well, I thought about it a lot over the holidays and I finally came up with a great concept, which I am really excited about. I don’t want to reveal anything yet because there is still so much to think about. Sadly I have to be patient and can only really start planning in February because I have all my finals this month (boo!). I can just tell you that I am planning a total relaunch, so stay tuned!

I don’t know how much time I will have to blog in the meantime, but you can always find me on Pinterest and Tumblr (links on the right). Have a great week, folks!

Can you guys believe it’s Christmas in a week? December just flew on right by and with uni and everything I seem to have had a short (and unplanned) hiatus again. Oh well. So, here’s what I’ve been up to in December:

waiting: For Christmas of course! It’s my favourite time of year and I’m really looking forward to going home for the holidays as well.

reading: Like every year, I’m currently reading Charles Dickens’ Christmas Story. I also just started reading Monsieur Ibrahim et les fleur du coran. In French. Let’s see how that goes.

watching: Last week I went to the cinema and watched Anna Karenina. It was so good (despite what critics say) and the perfect winter movie, with the Russian snow and everything. The day before Christmas I’m also definitely watching It’s A Wonderful Life, that’s a must.

thinking: About maybe opening up a Dawanda shop. I mean, why not, what do you think? And also about sprucing up this blog a little bit, maybe with a new design and some new features. The start of a new year is always the time to dream, right? Nevertheless, I should rather learn for my exams in January and February. Oh well.

making: Lots and lots of Christmas sweets. I want to give them all away for Christmas, so there is still so much to do!

listening: To Christmas music naturally (are you still interested in a mixtape?) and I’m also really into James Vincent McMorrow at the moment.

eating: Too much chocolate, I definitely have to get into dieting/healthy mode after Christmas! We are also having a goodbye/Christmas dinner with all my uni friends tomorrow, which I’m really looking forward to!

It’s finally December, so now it’s allowed to get into the Christmas mood. Are you excited? This weekend it snowed for the first time (perfect timing), although there’s nothing left today. I went to the Christmas market for the first time this year and drank some punch. Today I started listening to some old Christmas favourites (Sufjan Stevens and Frank Sinatra) and opened the first doors on my Advent calendar. I read Auggie Wren’s Christmas Story by Paul Auster. And this afternoon my family is coming to visit and they’re bringing cake and an Advent wreath for my flat. Somehow it feels as if I already did most of the things on my winter to-do list on this first weekend (but there’s  still a lot of fun to do left).
