1. Big sweaters. Because there is nothing that is more comfy and I wish I could wear them year round, just for the comfyness.
2. Nice mugs. Because your intake of hot beverages at least triples in the months from October to March. Having something pretty to drink them from is not necessary, but well, nice.
3. Big totes. Because you carry so much more stuff around with you (like gloves, a thermos, a woolen hat, Christmas presents you already bought…).
4. Candles. They smell like Christmas and they make a room instantly cozy, even if there is nothing cozy about that room (apart from the candles). Oh, and as everybody knows the light is super-flattering, another bonus.
What are your autumn essentials?
(The shoes are not really an autumn essential, I just really like them. So I included them)
The flower print trend is one that I hope won’t fade away in the next few month/years because, well, I love it! I own shirts with flowers on them, dresses, cardigans, even shoes. I normally wear them casually, but the second picture shows that a flower print is totally acceptable on a fancy evening dress as well, right?
With the good weather we’ve been having lately come not only lots of great activities outside, but also fewer dress choices, because well, it’s hot! Most days I just want to throw on a simple top and some jeans shorts, so I love how these two girls rock the stripes and neutrals combination with their breezy skirts. Definitely a summer outfit I have to recreate! And apparently I really need a pair of tortoise sunglasses as well.
This is what I’m happily looking forward to wearing everyday for the next few months: A pair of jeans shorts, a simple t-shirt, some pastell accessories (or some bracelets), that’s all I need. Hopefully the weather agrees with me that this is a pretty good plan and let’s me wear it as often as possible (last year our summer wasn’t really warm enough to wear shorts, rather long trousers and a rainjacket). Today was great already, I spend all day out in the sun, eating fresh fruit and smelling of sunscreen (oh how I love summer!). What’s your summer uniform?
PS: To everyone who commented and said they still had to write exams: I feel for ya! I bet you’ll do great and soon you’ll be able to enjoy summer as well.
